Joel Eisenberg and Timothy Owens' EMO Films has inked a development deal with Mone't, Inc.'s new feature film division, Mone't Films, for a slate of projects budgeted $5 million and up. Under the current terms, EMO Films will become the motion picture development entity for the finance group, run by President and CEO Paul Wiltz.
Wiltz led commercial capital group Mone't, Inc. to be recognized on the Inc. 500 listing in 2009 as one of America's Fastest-Growing companies. EMO Films, a production company specializing in branded entertainment, is presently developing a biopic on controversial comic book creator William M. Gaines with director John Landis, follow-ups to "Road to Perdition" and "Drugstore Cowboy," and maintains a partnership with the EC Comics estate for film, radio and television rights.
Under the current terms, EMO Films is prepping a slate with a cumulative budget of $100 million, which will be funded through Mone't Films' investment channels.
