BancorpSouth Road Dawgs Tour With MSU Coach Dan Mullen Planned April 26 Through 30

TUPELO, Miss., April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BancorpSouth, Inc. officials today announced that Mississippi State University head football coach Dan Mullen will visit nine Mississippi cities and make a trio of stops in Alabama and Tennessee April 26 through 30 as part of the BancorpSouth Road Dawgs Tour. Presented by BancorpSouth, the Tupelo-based $13.2 billion asset bank holding company, the event is coordinated by the MSU Alumni Association and the MSU Athletic Department.

The tour begins Monday, April 26, in Batesville at 12 noon at Panola Country Club and concludes Friday, April 30 at 11 a.m. in McComb at the Days Inn. At each stop, Mullen will provide remarks about spring practice and the upcoming fall football season, answer questions and sign autographs, with each stop expected to last one and one-half hours.

In addition to Batesville and McComb, the tour has stops in Southaven, Memphis, TN, Kosciusko, Jackson, Tupelo, Huntsville, AL, Birmingham, AL, Meridian, Hattiesburg and Biloxi. Mullen and group have three stops on most days, for a total of 12 meetings/visits.

"We had a great reception last year at every stop, and we're excited to get out and see our fans again this year. We appreciate BancorpSouth stepping up to become our first-ever sponsor this year and look forward to having them along at each stop," Mullen said.

Mullen and a contingency from the MSU Alumni Association and the Athletic Department will travel in a passenger bus, which will be highly visible on Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee highways with its exterior's brightly-colored BancorpSouth Road Dawgs Tour decor. Passengers in other cars are encouraged to honk and wave as they meet the bus on the highways.

"BancorpSouth has a long history of supporting the colleges and universities in our market area. We are delighted that we can be a part of this tour which should be a fun experience for all involved," Randy Burchfield, BancorpSouth Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing, said.
