EverFi, the nation's leading financial literacy network, rang the opening bell at the NASDAQ to announce a new partnership with BB&T Bank and Financial Services Roundtable.
The EverFi Financial Literacy Platform™ is a web-based curriculum that uses the latest in new media technologies including 3-D gaming, social networking, animations, video and avatars to bring the financial world to life. BB&T announced an initial 30 schools across North Carolina will participate as part of the BB&T partnership with EverFi with the goal of certifying students in financial literacy upon completion.
The announcement at NASDAQ coincides with a major effort by EverFi and the Financial Services Roundtable to bring financial literacy courses to high schools nationwide. "BB&T has a year-round commitment of providing financial literacy to the community," said Steve Bartlett, President and CEO of The Financial Services Roundtable.
