A Raymond, a leading global supplier of automotive fastening systems, has re-organized its North American engineering and sales teams into automotive and industrial business units.
The reorganization follows A Raymond's 2009 acquisition of Tinnerman Palnut Engineered Products, a Brunswick, Ohio-based competitor.
Dan Dolan has been named president of A Raymond Tinnerman Automotive Inc., in Rochester Hills, Mich., while Dan Kerr has been appointed president of A Raymond Tinnerman Industries Inc., in Brunswick, Ohio. Dolan previously served as Chief Operating Officer of the former Tinnerman company, in Brunswick. Kerr was sales manager for A Raymond Inc., in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Following a six-month integration of manufacturing, sales and management functions, the company recently split into separate automotive and non-automotive divisions to better serve its customers in North America.
"With more than 600 employees in five plants in the U.S. and Canada,
A Raymond Tinnerman has globally strengthened its ability to provide plastic and metal fasteners, as well as other products to companies in North America," said David J. Nenno, President and CEO of A Raymond Corporate North America, Inc., the U.S.-based holding company.
"Our customers have told us they appreciate having specialized sales and engineering divisions for industrial and automotive businesses," he said. "This is the first time in the A Raymond Network history business units have been organized this way."
Nenno added that, "A Raymond has welcomed former Tinnerman employees into its fold. This has increased our non-automotive product customer base. Many of Tinnerman's fasteners and other assemblies were developed for solar or agricultural products."
A Raymond acquired assets of former Tinnerman in October 2009. Since that time, former Tinnerman plants in Brunswick, Ohio; Flemingsburg, Ky.; Logansport, Ind.; and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, have become part of the A Raymond Network, which now has more than 3,900 employees working in 21 countries in manufacturing, engineering and sales.
