The world's largest electronic security provider will replace nearly half of its North American fleet with the Ford Transit Connect, 2010 North American Truck of the Year. Plans call for a total of 3,000 vehicles, with the move expected to save ADT around $5.3 million in annual fuel costs and support its green initiatives. In addition to being more fuel efficient than larger commercial vans, Transit Connect also is more comfortable and convenient - important benefits since most of ADT's technicians spend an average of 2,000 miles a month on the road. more...

In 2006 Ford said it would double the number of 2010 model year flex-fuel vehicles and now it's delivering. Flex-fuel vehicles, which can run on E85, gasoline, or any mix of the two, are an excellent alternative for customers and can help reduce dependence on imported oil. Assuming incentives continue to encourage manufacturing, distribution and availability of renewable fuels, Ford is committed to expanding flex-fuel output to 50 percent of total 2012 model year production. more...
