Apartment Community Catered to Arts Enthusiasts Adds Amenities and Offerings
Dominium, the property management company of The Lyric at Carleton Place, reports that on May 15th the second and final phase, developed by The Cornerstone Group, is scheduled to be launched for current and future Lyric renters. The Lyric was built to meet the demand generated when the arts centric Carleton Place Lofts launched and revealed the strong market for alternative housing for those interested and active in the thriving Twin Cities arts community.
The first phase of the apartment community launched in the first quarter of 2010. This initial phase includes the building structure that houses studio, one and two bedroom apartments. Additional resources that opened include: the library, fitness center, treatment room, conference room, Johnny's Lounge and unique artists gallery and lab that allow residents a venue and resources to create and showcase their art.
The second phase of the development will feature additional apartment homes as well as unveil the rooftop and sixth floor amenities to include:
- Grilling Terrace with tables, chairs and grilling station
- Sun Deck with Adirondack style seating
- Solarium for year round planting, potting and sunshine
- Spa and Sauna
- Starview Cinema for outdoor movie viewing
- Individual Garden Space for personal resident use
- Skybox Lounge – Room that offers views of downtown Minneapolis and opens out on the roof deck. Complete with kitchenette, pool table, large-screen TV and seating.
An outdoor amphitheater located steps away from University Avenue with seating for 100+ to host both residents and local artists to also launch on May 15, 2010.
"We are very proud of our local arts community and have been fortunate to be on track in these first few months with our occupancy projections," said Brad Johnson, Partner in Ownership. Johnson continued, "This project is an exciting milestone in the advancement of the St. Anthony Park neighborhood, as will be the Central Corridor light rail when it's completed. The added residential units should continue to help sustain the small businesses and retailers in the area and attract future economic growth. Many of the retailers here already cater to the art and creative industries in the Twin Cities. The Lyric will provide upscale living in an already desirable area that is poised and showing strong growth and development."
The Lyric apartment homes feature washers and dryers as well as oversized windows and eco-friendly finishes. Their EcoStone island tops, a recycled variation of Silestone, will be the first commercial install of this new product in the world.
