Brodeur Partners and American Cancer Society Take Home Two Silver Anvil Awards

NEW YORK, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Brodeur Partners, a leading integrated communications agency and its client the American Cancer Society, won two coveted Silver Anvils from the Public Relations Society of America at the organization's annual awards ceremony, adding further accolades to both organizations' list of awards.

Widely considered to be the communications industry's most prestigious awards, the Silver Anvils are an established icon of the "best-of-the-best" public relations practices, acknowledging the very highest levels of achievement.

The American Cancer Society and Brodeur Partners' campaign "Creating A World With More Birthdays," won the Silver Anvil in two categories, - "Reputation and Brand Management" - Nonprofit Organization and "Integrated Communications"- Associations/Government/Nonprofit.

The More Birthdays movement was designed to help deepen understanding of how the Society saves lives in communities nationwide and to unite people passionately committed to creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Through the movement, the Society is reinventing itself by simply and positively communicating its progress in saving lives from cancer and engaging new members in the fight. To date, the effort has shown statistically significant increases in awareness and relevance of the Society's mission and is cultivating a new generation of donors and volunteers for this legacy brand.

"This is such an exciting recognition for our agency and a testimony to the hard work, creativity, insight and focus our talented teams provide clients on a daily basis," said Andrea Coville, CEO Brodeur Partners.

"Our quest for "a world with more birthdays" is more than just words," added Greg Donaldson, American Cancer Society, National Vice President, Corporate Communications. "It is a commitment and movement that is already saving lives and benefiting real people around the world. Our exceptional staff team's collaboration with Brodeur Partners has taken the communications challenges associated with this dream and begun to successfully address them -- with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. We are honored and proud these efforts have been recognized not just once, but twice by a distinguished panel of leading industry experts.
