In addition, the company has also teamed with Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a nonprofit organization that represents this nation's disabled veterans, to host a Mobile Service Office (MSO) at select Borders stores in Maine, New York, California and New Mexico Friday, July 2.

The DAV's MSO program is designed to educate and assist disabled veterans and their families about specific veteran's benefits. These fully functional mobile units can file compensation and disability claims, assist veterans with questions about continuing education opportunities and field general questions about veterans' benefits.
The Borders stores noted below will be participating in the MSO program on July 2. Units will be parked at each store from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Consumers are encouraged to call the stores directly to obtain additional information.

In addition, each of the stores noted above will host a "Benefit Day" to support the work of the DAV. Throughout the year, Borders stores partner with nonprofits across the country to host Benefit Days -- fundraising events where supporters of the nonprofits shop on a designated day or days. Borders will donate up to 30% of the days' net sales, made by the nonprofit supporters, to the participating organization. More information about the local Benefit Days at these locations will be forthcoming.
