5 Western disciplines will compete
The best horses and riders from across the world will converge on Oklahoma City for the first ever Battle in the Saddle. Roping, Reining, Cutting, Working Cow Horse, and Ranch Remuda will be featured. The all-star event also includes the Youth World Cup. All disciplines are fast and furious. All require tremendous athleticism from horse and rider.
While purses will top $300,000, Battle in the Saddle is expected to attract about 1,000 horses and contribute an estimated $10 million dollars in incremental spending to the Oklahoma City economy.
