Today, FreedomWorks PAC is proud to announce its latest endorsement of Republican candidate Steve Chabot in the OH-1 congressional race. Chabot has earned the "Champion of Freedom" title for his commitment to a fiscally responsible agenda and his consistent defense of Ohio taxpayer interests.
Steve Chabot has a long history of leadership in the limited government movement. As a Congressman (OH-1) for fourteen years, Steve consistently promoted the ideas of lower taxes, less government and more individual freedom.
Staying true to his fiscally conservative values, Chabot voted against the nearly trillion-dollar TARP Wall Street bailout, and promises to fight Obama's health care takeover and the job-killing cap and trade energy tax hike.
Chabot is a strong conservative challenger to Democrat incumbent Steve Driehaus. Congressman Driehaus voted for numerous federal power-grab legislations, including the trillion-dollar Obama "stimulus" bailout, the job-killing cap and trade energy tax hike, and the unconstitutional Obama-Pelosi health care takeover, which forces Americans to purchase a health care plan while raising taxes and insurance premiums.
FreedomWorks PAC will support Chabot's congressional campaign by supporting Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts leading up to election day, including door-to-door literature drops, phone banks, and yard sign distribution.
FreedomWorks PAC President Matt Kibbe commented, "This election is a key opportunity for American voters to defeat a big-government bureaucrat and elect a true fiscal conservative. Steve Chabot is well-versed in the legislative process, and has the leadership and moral character necessary to make an immediate impact on the 112th Congress."
