Fly American Airlines Coast-to-Coast and Earn Up to 50,000 AAdvantage Bonus Miles / Bonus Offer Runs Through Aug. 31, 2010

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Do you enjoy flying coast-to-coast? Do you like accumulating American Airlines AAdvantage® miles? Well then, we have a deal for you.

AAdvantage members can earn up to 50,000 bonus miles on select fares when flying roundtrip on nonstop, transcontinental routes between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

AAdvantage members flying on select First and Business Class fares between these destinations will earn 50,000 bonus miles for round-trip travel, or 25,000 bonus miles for each one-way segment. The offer also awards passengers traveling on Economy Class or Instant Upgrade fares booked in Y, D or I inventory with 25,000 bonus miles for round-trip travel, or 12,500 bonus miles for a one-way segment.

"Summer is a great time to fly coast-to-coast, and we are offering this promotion to let our AAdvantage members on both coasts know how much we value their loyalty," said Rob Friedman, President - AAdvantage Marketing Programs for American Airlines.

With 10 daily nonstop flights between New York's JFK and LAX, as well as five between JFK and SFO, American, a founding member of the global oneworld® Alliance, takes passengers where they need to go, when they need to be there.

Customers traveling these transcontinental routes in First Class on American's 767-200 aircraft can relax in comfortable, fully-adjustable seats. Customers in First and Business Class receive a premium class duvet and oversized plush pillow, as well as American's new Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones to complete their audio or video sound experience onboard the aircraft. Additionally, these aircraft are equipped with AirCell's Gogo® Inflight Internet service, which allow passengers to remain connected while traveling. The onboard experience is further enhanced with the service of chef-driven meals and fine wines from American's award-winning wine program.

To participate in this offer, AAdvantage members must register prior to travel at http://www.aa.com/offers using promotion code TRNSN and fly between now and Aug. 31, 2010. Members who signed up for American's earlier transcontinental promotion, valid from April 6 to June 30, 2010, using the same bonus code, are automatically pre-registered for this new offer.
