Mr. Oscar Frias Martinelli Joins Affinity Gold Corp. as Strategic Advisor

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affinity Gold Corp. (Pink Sheets: AFYG) ("Affinity" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. Oscar Frias Martinelli has joined the Company as a Strategic Advisor to help lead the development and growth of Company's subsidiary in Peru.

Mr. Frias joins Affinity Gold with over 30 years of operational, managerial and leadership experience having served in numerous capacities within the mining industry in Peru. Mr. Frias' education speaks for itself and demonstrates his level of technical knowledge of the industry.

Mr. Frias Educational Achievements: -- Ph.D. in Mineral Economics (Penn State University, 1995) -- Masters of Science in Mining Engineering (Penn State University,1992) -- Masters in Business Administration (ESAN, 1988) -- Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering (Catholic University of Peru, 1982).

Before joining the Company, Mr. Frias was most recently an advisor for Compania Minera San Simon, a Latin American mineral company. During his tenure, Mr. Frias played a key role in expanding the firm's annual gold production to 120,000 ounces.

Mr. Frias also spent four years as General Manager of Corporacion Mineral San Manuel, where he led the exploration, development and production of numerous projects; most notably the Mina Sinaycocha and Mina Cascajal mines.
