Charm Forms Alliance With Top Media Groups to Initiate China's First Integrated City-Tourism Marketing Platform

Company creates the Cities and Tourism Marketing Media Alliance as a one-stop-shop to promote Chinese cities and tourist destinations

BEIJING, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Charm Communications Inc. ("Charm" or the "Company"), a leading advertising agency in China, today announced that it has reached an agreement with several top Chinese and international media to launch a marketing alliance to promote Chinese cities and tourist destinations domestically and globally, the first of its kind in China.

Within the alliance are a range of professional travel media including the Travel TV channel and Qunar.com, and popular media such as CCTV, Shanghai Dragon TV, Tianjin TV network, Shenzhen TV network, Baidu, Sina and people.com.cn. Also participating in the alliance is Fox Networks Group, which owns the National Geographic Channel and National Geographic Magazine, and has a strong reputation among middle to high-end travellers, providing a natural link to the international market.
