SEB: Management appointments in SEB

New appointments have been made within important core growth areas for SEB.

 

Anders Mossberg, who has been the head of SEB's life business since 1990, will assume a new position as Senior Adviser to the CEO. He will have a special focus on strategic life insurance issues and also coordinate SEB's savings offering - core areas of strength and future growth for SEB. Jan Stjernström, head of SEB Trygg Liv Sweden, has been appointed new head of the Life division.

 

SEB is growing and investing in its corporate and institutional franchise in Germany. Fredrik Boheman, currently head of Wealth Management, has been appointed new head of SEB Germany. Fredrik Boheman has a background in relationship and corporate banking having been both head of Merchant Banking in Germany and SEB's country manager for Germany. He will in his new capacity report to the head of Merchant Banking.  Ingrid Engström, currently head of Group HR & Organisational Development will assume a position as Senior Adviser to Fredrik Boheman in Germany and support him in driving organisational issues and change management.  Following the completion of the strategic alignment of SEB's German retail business, Jan Sinclair, currently head of SEB Germany, will become deputy Chief Risk Officer (CRO) as of the first quarter 2011, a new position reporting to Group CRO Johan Andersson.

 

Anders Johnsson, currently head of Trading & Capital Markets within Merchant Banking, has been appointed head of Wealth Management. Anders Johnsson has extensive experience of both capital markets and private banking. In his current role, he has contributed to further strengthening SEB's number one position with corporate and institutional customers in the Nordic countries.  

 

Ulf Peterson, currently head of Staff, Retail Banking, has been appointed Head of Group HR. He has a broad background within SEB from both staff functions and business areas.

 

Joachim Alpen, currently head of Foreign Exchange within Trading & Capital Markets, will assume the position of new head of Trading & Capital Markets. Fredrik Barnekow, head of Securities Finance within Merchant Banking, has been appointed head of SEB Enskilda Equities. Both Joachim Alpen and Fredrik Barnekow will report to the head of Merchant Banking.

The appointment of the new head of SEB Germany is subject to the approval of the supervisory board and the regulatory authority in Germany.
