Strike a Pose for the AAdvantage Milestones Leder Posin' Photo Contest / Photo Contest Grand Prize Winner to Receive 275,000 AAdvantage Miles

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines is celebrating Germany's rich culture on the AAdvantage® Milestones(TM) online travel guide with the new Leder Posin' photo contest, which will give one grand prize winner a total of 275,000 AAdvantage miles. As people around the world prepare for Oktoberfest celebrations, American is showcasing Germany as its featured destination on the Milestones travel guide and inviting customers to join in on the fun.

The Leder Posin' photo contest, which runs from Sept. 15 - Oct. 15, encourages customers to submit photos of people dressed in lederhosen or any traditional German attire at Oktoberfest celebrations or other global tourist attractions. Photos can be uploaded to the Leder Posin' photos gallery at http://www.aa.com/milestones. After the submission period, 10 finalists will be chosen to each receive 25,000 AAdvantage miles. Milestones visitors will then be able to vote for their favorite photo, which will award the grand prize winner an additional 250,000 miles.

In addition to the photo contest, customers who visit the Milestones online travel guide and vote for their favorite photos will be entered in a sweepstakes for a chance to win 100,000 AAdvantage miles. Voting runs from Nov. 1 - 30.

The newly redesigned AAdvantage Milestones online travel guide features a variety of useful content including videos, articles, maps, itineraries and travel tips for some of American's most popular worldwide destinations. The online travel guide also features a forum for AAdvantage members to share unique experiences and insights with each other and an impressive photo gallery of members' vacation photos. Recent enhancements to the travel guide include updated homepage content, enhanced search functionalities, simplified navigation and a new video player.

"The Milestones travel guide is a fantastic online resource for customers planning trips to our most popular destinations," said Maya Leibman, President - AAdvantage. "The Leder Posin' photo contest is an entertaining way to remind customers of the value of Milestones when planning their next travel experience - plus it gives our customers a glimpse of how rich an experience Germany can be."
