Hudson Valley Bank Opens Branch at Hutch Metro Center in the Bronx

YONKERS, N.Y., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- James J. Landy, President & CEO of Hudson Valley Bank, has announced that its new branch at the Hutch Metro Center in the Bronx is open for business.

Located in Tower 1 at 1250 Waters Place, the new Hudson Valley Bank branch is convenient from Westchester Avenue, Eastchester Road and the Hutchinson River Parkway in the Bronx. The branch will focus on serving the deposit, lending and investment needs of Hutch Metro tenants, as well as businesses and individuals in and around the Westchester Square, Pelham Bay and Morris Park areas. The branch will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and offer a 24-hour ATM on site.

Thomas Berta, who has more than 14 years of experience in banking, has joined the Bank as Vice President and Branch Manager for the Hutch Metro Center Branch. Prior to joining Hudson Valley, Mr. Berta was a Regional Sales Support Director with Citibank for the NY metro area. He also held several branch management positions at Citibank, most recently at its Mount Kisco Branch. He is a resident of Yorktown, and holds a BS in Economics from George Mason University and an MBA in Financial Management from Pace University.

"Tom has the necessary knowledge and expertise to provide the exceptional personal service customers expect from Hudson Valley Bank," Mr. Landy said. "He will be working closely with Anthony Mormile, Senior Vice President, who heads up our business development efforts in the Bronx."

Mr. Mormile, who has been with Hudson Valley for the past eight years, has more than 25 years of banking experience and is very active in the Bronx community. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross-Bronx Chapter and the Bronx YMCA. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the Bronx-Manhattan North Board of Realtors and is the Treasurer of the New Bronx Chamber of Commerce.
