Company's Expanding Global Partner Program and Formal International Debut at VMworld Copenhagen Provide Impetus for Infrastructure Performance Management Abroad
Xangati, the emerging leader in infrastructure performance management (IPM), today announced several key milestones in its global expansion. Xangati revealed that coverage of its award-winning virtualization management solution now reaches 40 countries as a result of key strategic international partnerships; and its IPM solution has been chosen and will be deployed to help manage the VMworld Copenhagen labs infrastructure. Earlier this year, as part of its global strategy, Xangati also appointed Greg Dumas as Managing Director of International Operations.
"Since Xangati first announced its virtual appliance suite in March, we've signed an average of one international channel partnership per month," said Alan Robin, CEO at Xangati. "Now – with Greg in an elevated and dedicated international role – we're achieving even greater traction, with a reach of 40 countries on five continents. VMworld Copenhagen represents a culmination for Xangati – marking our first formal international debut and showcasing the second release of our award-winning solution, which includes ten industry firsts for IPM."
"Xangati's unprecedented visibility for troubleshooting and fast problem resolution is giving businesses in all parts of the world a valid passport to successfully implement and expand their virtualization initiatives," said Greg Dumas, Managing Director of International Operations for Xangati. "I am excited to be part of such a dedicated team and am collaborating closely with our international channel partners as we forge inroads together in this new global direction for IT."
The selection of Xangati's solution to support VDI in the Cloud at VMworld Copenhagen is a further testament to the company's achievements in virtualization management. Xangati's ability to track every VDI session end-to-end as it traverses over the physical and virtual network made it the ideal choice to support VMware's VDI implementation at the European conference. The VDI in the Cloud deployment will support lab sessions across virtual desktops for use by the 5000 anticipated attendees. By complementing View Manager and vCenter and leveraging VMware APIs, Xangati will provide continuous visibility into the real-time activity of lab users, ensuring a more positive experience for attendees at the premier virtualization show.
Moving virtualization across borders through strategic partnerships
By working closely with its worldwide channel partners and leveraging their regional expertise, Xangati now boasts – including downloads – nearly 300 international installations.
ICF Systems AG, a systems integrator for financial services and trading companies based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, has designed and delivered the industry's first fully functional virtual trading floor by using VDI in the Cloud and relying on Xangati's IPM solution. ICF's "Trading Anywhere" solution provides its financial customers seamless and immediate network access to one centralized data center from absolutely any location, allowing them to conduct all of their financial business from their mobile device or home exactly as if they were in the office.
"Nothing is more mission-critical – or time-critical – than dealing with financials real-time – whether through trading applications, broker connections or communications with market exchanges. System performance and availability for these components – all key pieces of our virtual trading floor – directly impact the bottom line," said Harald Spanuth, Senior Technical Consultant at ICF Systems AG. "Xangati allows us to see all VDI activity over both the VI and the WAN, enabling instantaneous troubleshooting through its live, continuous views of the physical and the virtual. I can't underestimate the value of Xangati's solution in giving us the ability to serve our customers at the level they need to conduct their business more easily and efficiently – without performance concerns."
ISC, a channel partner and leading IT solutions provider in the UK, works closely with Xangati. "Our clients are working towards 100 percent server virtualization and/or are actively evaluating virtual desktops," said Will Todd, Solutions Director at ISC. "With Xangati, we can thoroughly model the effect of migrating complex applications or deploying desktop virtualization on their networks. We can also provide them with a troubleshooting and management toolset that ensures the ongoing effectiveness of their virtual infrastructure."
Virtualization is also especially attractive to large organizations for its ability to lower costs through improved operational efficiencies; however, users – such as the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK – absolutely need the same application performance and availability they have with existing dedicated systems to migrate their mission-critical applications and fully benefit from virtualization.
To fully leverage a virtualized system and migrate its complex and mission-critical healthcare applications, NHS needed assurance for deterministic performance even on a shared infrastructure. The NHS turned to IP Performance, a provider of specialized IT infrastructure and systems integration solutions in the UK, and Xangati for the solution.
"Xangati's comprehensive approach and depth of knowledge about virtualized infrastructure performance gives us the needed insight to help our customers take action and manage their emerging virtualized and hybrid environments," said Phil Crossley, Managing Director and Partner at IP Performance, a Bristol-based systems integrator. "By enabling the successful migration of critical business applications, organizations can truly benefit from the operational efficiencies and cost reductions offered through the new model. As a Xangati channel partner, this allows us to provide tremendous value to our customers and design systems that otherwise would not be feasible – such as the one at NHS Tayside."

See 10 Industry Firsts at VMworld Copenhagen
At VMworld Copenhagen, Xangati will showcase the most recent release of its IPM solution, unveiled at VMworld San Francisco in August. In just its second release, Xangati achieved ten industry firsts with a virtualization management solution providing performance insights for VMs, ESX hosts, storage, applications and end-user devices presented in one pane of glass. (See release.) The Xangati solution was also awarded a virtualization management category finalist for the Best of VMworld 2010 awards. (See release.)
