"These interdepartment technology transitions arose from several departments: health, revenue, police, procurement, and water management," said Brett. His presentation will also include data on the information technology expenditures for DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties. "IT spending makes up 1.57 percent of total expenditures for these collar counties," he said. "DuPage County saw the largest percentage change in IT expenditure growth -- a 33 percent increase from 2008 through 2010. During this same time period, Will County experienced a 39 percent decrease." As for the state, Brett said that the Illinois Bureau of Communication and Computer Services Expenditure growth from 2009 to 2010 accelerated by 11 percent.
