CNA announced Valynda Murphy as vice president of Underwriting for its Commercial Technology segment. In this role, Murphy has responsibility for collaborating with the global insurer's other key business units to drive this segment forward and further strengthen its market presence.
Murphy brings more than 25 years of commercial underwriting and brokerage experience, and a track record of success in Technology to this role. She joins CNA from Marsh USA, Inc., where she served as Technology Placement leader and managing director. Prior to Marsh, she held Technology leadership roles at USF&G Insurance Company and St. Paul Insurance Company. She also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Underwriting (AU) designations.
