RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association (RESOLVE), a national, nonprofit, working to improve the lives of people with infertility, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Overall Use of Convio category for their effective use of a wide range of Convio products to further their mission. All award winners were recognized at a ceremony last night at Convio's Client Summit, the company's annual user conference where more than 800 nonprofit clients, partners and industry thought leaders gather as a community to share common experiences and effective strategies for nonprofits.
"We are very appreciative of this recognition," explained Rebecca Flick, Director, Strategic Partnerships & Projects at RESOLVE. "We're a growing organization that needs to have a huge impact to reach and support the 7.3 million people diagnosed with infertility. The Convio platform has enabled us to move from a service-based organization to one that is focused on a cause-based movement. It has made us impact more people than we could without it and shown people that an organization of our size can make a difference."
RESOLVE uses Convio CMS, Fundraising, Advocacy, Email, and Common Ground (for their donor database). The organization has achieved remarkable results using this combination of Convio tools to improve their website, promote fundraising initiatives, and get people involved in advocacy issues. Their newly designed website is user-friendly and makes it easy for visitors to find the content they want. Regional websites allow RESOLVE to provide a local presence in 10 regions, and ZIP code lookup functionality makes it easy for people to find local support. RESOLVE also created an online fundraising appeals calendar that includes a monthly renewal email, event messaging, and special appeals, which boosted fundraising dollars by 12 percent from 2008 to 2009, despite the economic downturn. (In comparison, the Convio benchmark for the Disease and Health Services vertical during this period was five percent.) Similar success was achieved using Convio Advocacy in combination with Facebook and Twitter to help pass major legislation in Georgia. Overall, supporters sent more than 104,000 messages to legislators in 2009, up from 37,600 in 2008. By using Convio Common Ground and Convio Online Marketing together, RESOLVE has a complete view of constituent activity, and sends targeted messages to different audiences, ensuring they receive the right information and services at the right time.
Thirteen other nonprofits received Innovator Awards and were recognized in categories including Best Email Communications, Best Integrated Marketing Campaign, Best List Growth, Best Website, Best Online Fundraising Campaign, Best Advocacy Campaign, Best Special Events Fundraising, Best Peer-to-Peer Fundraising, Best Use of New Media, Best Use of Convio Open, Common Ground CRM Visionary, and Applying CRM to Manage Your Mission. All Convio clients were eligible to submit nominations for the awards.
RESOLVE partnered with Charity Dynamics, a provider of comprehensive online marketing and fundraising solutions for nonprofit organizations, to complete a redesign of their entire site, including 10 regional sites and 3 microsites. Charity Dynamics also developed a strategy for RESOLVE's use of Convio Online Marketing. As a result of this relationship, RESOLVE has advanced their use of the advocacy tools from action alerts in multiple states to a nationwide advocacy day that individuals can support in person or online.
"RESOLVE's dedication and commitment to the infertility community can be seen in how they think strategically about using Convio to further their work and build their online presence," said Jessica Hood, Director of Consulting at Charity Dynamics. "We're thrilled with the results they've had and the recognition they're receiving."
"This is an impressive group of winners that embrace the idea of innovation and exemplify this year's Summit theme of No Boundaries," said Gene Austin, CEO of Convio. "We are privileged to honor some of the brightest minds in the nonprofit sector today who are using technology as a catalyst to connect people with their missions reaching more people than ever before for the greater good, and very pleased to share this knowledge with the entire nonprofit sector."
