Weber Shandwick Named International Consultancy of the Year at UK PRCA Awards

LONDON, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Weber Shandwick, one of the world's leading global public relations firms, was named 'International Consultancy of the Year' for the second consecutive year, at the annual Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) Awards held in London last night.

Weber Shandwick's Consumer Marketing practice was also awarded the International Campaign category award for the 'Unlocking Africa's Investment Potential' campaign for the Investment Climate Facility for Africa (ICF), the Tanzanian-based NGO dedicated to making Africa a better place for business.

Colin Byrne, Weber Shandwick's UK & European CEO comments: "I am immensely proud of these awards. To not only be recognised as 'International Consultancy of the Year' for the second consecutive year, but also having our Consumer Marketing practice individually honoured, is a real testament to the dedication of our employees across our local, regional and global network."

These new award wins continue to build on Weber Shandwick's impressive award success in 2010 which includes being named a Digital Firm of the Year by PR News, 'Campaign of the Year' at the recent PRWeek UK Awards, Public Relations Agency of the Year at the International Business (Stevie) Awards and, for the second year in a row, Global Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report.

Weber Shandwick is also the only UK PR firm to win a prestigious Cannes PR Lions award in both years since its PR awards were launched in 2009.
