Ford e-News - Nov. 10, 2010

DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford and MIT team up to study driver stress

A Ford and MIT research study put automotive technology solutions designed to reduce driver stress and improve overall driver safety and well-being to the test, and the results were clear. The results showed a reduction in both self-reported stress levels and objective physiological measures used to monitor driver stress load. These findings were strongest in the parallel parking study, where use of Ford Motor Company's active park assist feature in the Lincoln MKS helped to significantly reduce stress on drivers compared to the manual operation of performing the same task. more...

Anne Marie Gattari | agattari@ford.com | 313.323.7809 New 2011 F-150 ad campaign separates Ford from the competition

The rant continues. And so does Ford's truck leadership. Since introducing the pull-no-punches advertising campaign two years ago, F-Series pickups have continued to lead the segment in capability, durability, fuel economy and sales. F-Series is the industry's first vehicle to top sales of 400,000 units for the year with nearly 434,920 trucks sold. The new 30-second television spots are an evolution of the tell-it-like-it-is style that Ford introduced with the 2009 F-150 and continued with 2011 Super Duty. The style has since been imitated by other companies. more...
