Delta Addison Collection Receives Two Green Product Awards / BUILDING PRODUCTS Magazine Recognizes Eco-Friendly Kitchen Faucet and Showerhead

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Delta® Addison® pull-down kitchen faucet with Multi-Flow(TM) and Touch2O® Technology and the Addison showerhead with H2Okinetic Technology® each received a 2010 Green Product Award from BUILDING PRODUCTS magazine. The Green Product Awards recognize "the best new eco-friendly products for the home," and will be featured in the Fall 2010 issue of the magazine.

"Our goal is to develop smart, meaningful innovations that not only help save water, but also enhance the user experience," said Bob Rodenbeck, director of research and development at Delta. "Water-efficiency and sustainable building are more important than ever, and we are proud to have our efforts recognized by BUILDING PRODUCTS magazine."

According to BUILDING PRODUCTS magazine, Green Products Awards recipients were chosen for their green and sustainable attributes, including energy efficiency, resource efficiency, and/or health and comfort. Products were also evaluated on innovation and overall value to residential construction professionals employing green building practices.

"The winners of the annual Green Product Awards stand out from the pack by not only contributing to an environmentally friendly, durable, or healthy home, but also by boasting innovative features, eye-catching aesthetics, or other valuable benefits to the contractor and the consumer," said Jean Dimeo, editorial director for BUILDING PRODUCTS magazine and its website, ebuild.com.

The Addison kitchen faucet was recognized for its Multi-Flow(TM) pull-down wand, which helps homeowners save water in the kitchen without sacrificing performance. Normally flowing at a water-efficient 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm), the faucet uses up to 32 percent less water than standard faucets. Users also have the option to increase the flow to 2.2 gpm for bigger projects like filling pots or vases. The available Touch2O Technology can also help save water by making it easy to turn the faucet off between tasks.

Flowing at just 2.0 gpm, the WaterSense-labeled Addison six-inch showerhead uses 20 percent less water than standard showerheads. The exclusive H2Okinetic Technology creates larger water droplets and drenching water coverage, creating a luxurious shower experience. The Addison showerhead was among the first to meet the WaterSense standards for showerheads.

Green Product Award winners were chosen by a select panel of judges, including builders, remodelers, and architects. Delta Faucet was the only manufacturer to have two products recognized.
