Operators and fans of Pratt & Whitney Canada's (P&WC) PT6 engine may now meet at PT6nation.com to share stories and keep up to date on developments. PT6nation.com is the new microsite launched today to leverage evolving social business networks and bring P&WC brand awareness to potential customers and industry partners. P&WC is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE: UTX).

Pratt & Whitney Canada's online presence will extend to Facebook, Twitter and You Tube. The intent behind the creation of PT6nation.com is to create a single space in which to share PT6 stories through words, images and film. "We believe in the importance of personally connecting with our customers and other PT6 enthusiasts in this new environment," said Maria Della Posta, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

While we are close to our customers and attentive to their needs, PT6 Nation will complement P&WC's global customer service vision, stated Raffaele Virgili, Vice President, Customer Service. Constant evolution

The PT6A has constantly evolved with customer needs through the application of innovative technology and in the last 10 years alone P&WC has certified eight PT6A models. P&WC continues to invest in new ways to make its engines more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly and to offer even greater value. It is also working closely with aircraft manufacturers to ensure the best integrated turboprop propulsion system for the next corporate turboprop aircraft programs.
