HOUSTON, March 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Riki Ellsion, founder of the Youth Impact Program, along with the Houston Texans, the University of Houston, the Houston Independent School District, and other partners, will be hosting a press conference to announce the new Summer Youth Impact Program being hosted by the University of Houston. This exciting program mentors middle school boys by combining academic and life skills tutoring with football skills taught by the NCAA football student athletes at the University of Houston and equipment provided by the NFL. Over 100 middle school boys are expected to join the program in July alone.
The press conference will be held on Monday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at James Hogg Middle School on 1100 Merrill Street in Houston.
