AMR Corp Partners With American Red Cross to Support Relief Efforts In Japan / AAdvantage Members Can Donate Via American Airlines to Aid Red Cross

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines and American Eagle, is joining with the American Red Cross to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. AAdvantage(R) members can help by donating to the Red Cross to provide shelter, food and other assistance to earthquake and tsunami victims.

Beginning today, AAdvantage members can receive a one-time award of 250 AAdvantage bonus miles for a minimum donation of $50, or 500 AAdvantage bonus miles for a donation of $100 or more to the American Red Cross Japan and Pacific Tsunami Fund. Earthquake and Tsunami Affected Flights

As a result of the earthquake and tsunami, all Japan trans-Pacific flights from the U.S. on Friday, March 11, have been cancelled. American Airlines will allow customers to change their travel plans as listed below.

The ticket reissue charge will be waived for one ticket change.
