UAS Training Forum Attracts Leading Nations to Gather in London / "Teal Group assumes that the Global UAV Market to Total $94 Billion in the next decade"

LONDON, March 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The demand for unmanned aerial systems from the leading Air Forces around the globe is increasing year on year. Hence, key industry players are predicting the market will nearly double in the next decade as the future requirements are set to be outlined at the UAS training forum.

Air Force personnel including those of the US Air Force, Royal Air Force, Italian Air Force, German Air Force, and Sri Lankan Air Force will be gathering at the meeting to discuss the key training challenges, requirements and programmes for a series of UCAV, HALE, MALE and Small UAS fixed wing platforms including the Global Hawk, Scan Eagle and Predator.

Chief of Italian Aerospace division Brigadier General Giovanni Fantuzzi will be discussing the Italian Air Force requirements for 2011, looking at the future capability and matching requirements as well as future acquisitions.

From the Sri Lankan Air Force, UAV Commander Group Captain Silshan Wasage will address how to meet the counter-insurgency operational needs through unmanned systems, as well as how to understand the need for enhanced ISR training. From the RAF, Wing Commander Jonathan Clarke would like to present on the UK DAEDALUS trial results and what they have discovered.
