ATLANTA, March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente of Georgia members rated the organization's health plan highest in member satisfaction in the South Atlantic Region, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 U.S. Member Health Insurance Plan Study(SM). The South Atlantic Region comprises North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
Earning a total of 747 points on a 1,000 point scale, Kaiser Permanente of Georgia scored 47 points above the South Atlantic Region's average. Kaiser Permanente ranked highest in the Coverage and Benefits, Information and Communication, Statements, and Customer Service factors.

Power and Associates 2011 National Health Insurance Plan Study(SM) measures member satisfaction among 137 health plans in 17 regions throughout the United States by examining seven key factors that each represent a distinct part of the member experience and together encompass the relationship between the health plan and its member: coverage and benefits; provider choice; information and communication; claims processing; statements; customer service; and approval processes.
