AFGE U.S. Marshals Service Local 2272 President Jason Wilder discussed the increased violence against the Marshals, including the loss of two deputies this year. Wilder also addressed the impact of staffing and funding deficiencies on the Marshals, which increases the risk of attacks and vulnerabilities to the agency and its mission.

AFGE Council of Prison Locals National Fair Practices Coordinator Michael Castelle then discussed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's report on the Bureau of Prisons' EEO program. The report found significant fear of retaliation among BOP employees and a lack of confidence in the agency's EEO program.

Lastly, Families USA Deputy Executive Director Kathleen Stoll and Senior Health Policy Analyst Kim Bailey shed light on the Affordable Care Act, including its implementation and benefit to Americans.
