Club Atwater and WISPA (Women's International Squash Players Association) are presenting the 3rd Annual Women's International Pro Squash Tournament starting at 5 pm Monday, March 28, with the finals at 2 pm on Saturday April 2, 2011. Many of the World's top woman's squash players will be competing in Montreal for a prize pool of $25,900 and crucial world ranking points - attracting players from over a dozen countries.
Atwater Cup is a rare opportunity to cheer our local champions at home, in what will be a great week showcasing some of the finest woman's athletes in the world. Club Atwater based Kiwi Joelle King (World #15) will be fighting for the title. www.joelleking.com.
Atwater's own Lindsay Bovaird (Canada #5, under 19 girls) has a wild card entry into the qualifying draw. Ms. Bovaird is a student at The Study, and is the voice of the popular Quebec based cartoon Caillou.
Alexandra Norman (World #47), originally from UK, now residing in Montreal will compete for the title, representing Canada.
