Bush Furniture Introduces New QTA Technology at High Point Market / New Exclusive Quick-to-Assemble Technology Offers Five Times Faster Assembly than Traditional RTA-

JAMESTOWN, N.Y., April 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Bush Furniture, a leading global manufacturer of smart furniture solutions for the home and office, announced today the introduction of its new Quick-to-Assemble (QTA(TM)) technology at High Point Market. QTA offers a compelling assembly method enabling customers to assemble their furniture up to five times faster and at a cost that is comparable to traditional RTA, as well as significantly lower than casegoods.

The first Bush Furniture collection to incorporate the new technology is the kathy ireland Office(R) by Bush Furniture line, which consists of stylish and affordable home and office furnishings, as well as storage accessories. The kathy ireland Office(R) collection will be distributed nationally and available at retailers across the country, as well as online, beginning this summer. Sample products will be on display in the Bush Industries showroom (Building IHFC, #W941), April 2-7, 2011.

"We understand consumers value their time and don't want to waste countless hours struggling to put their furniture together," Jim Sherbert, CEO of Bush Furniture Industries, Inc. "Bush created QTA as a response to our customers' desire for faster and easier furniture assembly. With QTA, they benefit from attractive, sturdy and functional products at a compelling price point, without the hassle of a long and frustrating assembly."

Independent testing has demonstrated that QTA furniture is proven to assemble up to five times faster than traditional RTA. With fewer pieces and steps, customers benefit from an overall easier experience once their furniture arrives, enabling them to spend less time assembling their furniture and more time enjoying it. Features such as preinstalled fasteners and drawer hardware allow panels to join together easily without force and with minimal or no tools. The structural integrity of QTA furniture is comparable to that of casegoods, except without the higher manufacturing cost. The technology allows products to be flat-packed, enabling lower shipping costs and easy transport to different rooms in the home upon delivery.

"With our QTA approach, Bush is paving the way in providing a new industry solution to make furniture assembly a stress-free process," added Sherbert. "We believe our customers will truly appreciate the extra time they save not having to deal with missing parts and confusing instructions."
