Elizabeth Snyder, CRCM, to Join the Illinois Bankers Association as Senior Vice President, Compliance and Risk Management

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Elizabeth M. Snyder, CRCM, will join the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) as Senior Vice President, Compliance and Risk Management, effective May 2. In her new role, Snyder will provide regulatory compliance and enterprise-wide risk management guidance to IBA member institutions. In addition, she will be responsible for managing the IBA's extensive Compliance Division, including the association's Compliance Advisory Committee. She will be based in the IBA's Chicago office.

Snyder previously served as Executive Vice President of Risk and Compliance Management for Leaders Bank in Oak Brook, Ill., where she had worked since January 2000. As a compliance professional with over 20 years of banking experience, she thoroughly understands the scope of business risks and the compliance process required of the banking industry. She is an active participant in the compliance community and has served as the chair of the American Bankers Association's Compliance Administrative Committee. Snyder is a frequent speakerfor national and state bank trade associations throughout the country, presenting topicsranging from compliance and risk management to consumer lendingand customer service.

Snyder became a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) in 2007. She graduated from the ABA Graduate School of Compliance Management in 2006, the ABA National Compliance School in 2005, and the BAI Graduate School of Banking, Retail Management in 1996. Snyder is a graduate of Elmhurst College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
