Magnesita to Provide Refractory Solutions for ThyssenKrupp Facilities in Germany and Brazil
Increases Magnesita's European Presence and Overall Refractory Market Share
Magnesita Refratários S.A. ("Magnesita"), a global producer of refractory materials and provider of refractory solutions for the steel, cement, glass, aluminum and other industries, today announced that ThyssenKrupp, an integrated materials and technology group and the largest stainless steel producer in Europe, has awarded Magnesita four contracts to provide refractory solutions at its Beeckerwerth, Bruckhausen, and HKM integrated facilities in Germany, as well as its CSA facility in Brazil. Together, the contracts position Magnesita as the largest supplier of refractory solutions for ThyssenKrupp globally.
The contracts encompass four solutions under which Magnesita will provide high-quality MagCarbon, High Alumina, Burnt and Tempered Dolomite, and Monolithics, among other materials, for the refractory needs for the steel ladles, converters, torpedo cars, at ThyssenKrupp's Beeckerwerth, Bruckhausen, HKM and CSA facilities. Contract lengths vary with duration up to year-end 2012.
