Counterintuity, LLC, a full-service marketing, design and social media agency, was recently recognized as the Small Business of the Year for Assembly District 43 by the California Small Business Association, the California State Legislature and 31 business organizations and chambers.
Counterintuity has designed and launched hundreds of websites, marketing, social media and publicity campaigns. They were nominated by Assemblyman Mike Gatto in recognition of their strong involvement in the local community and for representing the essence of California small business culture.
Lee Wochner, CEO, credits "the strength and commitment of our clients, employees and the local business community. Our team made a concerted effort to grow our business while serving our community in 2010. That made it one of our best years ever, and 2011 looks to top that."
Wochner and partner Amy Kramer bring a wealth of experience in traditional and social media marketing, having served more than 250 clients such as Boeing; Bragg Companies; DreamWorks; Cusumano Real Estate Group; University of Southern California; Adam Schiff for Congress; the Cities of Burbank and Santa Monica; the Burbank Chamber of Commerce, the San Mateo County Convention & Visitors Bureau; the Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau; Third Street Promenade; and the online stores and/or email marketing for numerous entertainment acts, including Britney Spears, Hoobastank, Emmylou Harris, and Kathy Griffin.
Most recently, the University of Southern California relied on Counterintuity to create a social media campaign to educate elite high school students about the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences summer programs and class offerings. Utilizing exclusive social media techniques and a deep understanding of online marketing, Counterintuity successfully targeted key stakeholders, significantly raising awareness and increasing enrollment across the board.
The company's employees participate in and support many community projects and organizations, including Burbank Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Burbank, Burbank YMCA, Burbank Unified School District, Burbank Police Commission, National Charity League, Path Achieve and more.
"Our corporate citizenship and community involvement are tremendous sources of pride," said Wochner.
Amy Kramer, President of Counterintuity, says, "This is a huge accomplishment for our entire team. We are personally committed to our clients' success as well as our own. We are awash with a 'can-do' spirit, and this award and our expected future success are direct results of our collective contributions."
