Vorys Partners Bresnahan and Palmieri Recognized as 2011 Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers

WASHINGTON, May 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pamela A. Bresnahan and Andrew F. Palmieri, partners in the Washington office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, have been named 2011 Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers magazine distinguishes the top 5 percent of attorneys in each state in more than 70 practice areas, and recognizes those who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Ms. Bresnahan is chair of the litigation practice group at Vorys' Washington office. She serves as trial and appellate counsel in business and commercial litigation matters with an emphasis on professional liability defense and coverage litigation. Bresnahan also represents lawyers, financial institutions, broker/dealers, financial professionals, directors and officers, insurers and other professionals and serves as coverage and litigation counsel for insurers issuing errors and omissions policies. She represents businesses and individuals in real estate, banking and other corporate litigation, and advises law firms and lawyers on management issues and discipline matters.

Bresnahan was most recently recognized as a leading lawyer in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area by The Washingtonian, and was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women Lawyers in America and one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America by The National Law Journal. She is named in The Best Lawyers in America in 3 categories: Bet-the-Company Litigation, Legal Malpractice and Business Litigation. Bresnahan is a fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers and currently serves in the American Bar Association House as a Delegate-at-Large. She was also appointed by the current ABA president as the Permanent Representative to the UN for Public Information. Bresnahan is a former D.C. Circuit representative for the ABA Standing Committee on Federal Judiciary. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, California and Illinois.

Mr. Palmieri is a member of the commercial and real estate practice group and counsels clients on complex commercial, corporate and real estate transactions, including the development and acquisition of multi-family residential and commercial real estate projects. He represents small and emerging national and international business enterprises in such matters as choice and formation of business entities, state and regulatory corporate compliance, business acquisitions, employee relations, contract negotiations and other general business considerations.

Palmieri is the Chair-Elect of both the American Bar Association's Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law and the Alexandria, Va., Chamber of Commerce. He is a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, and he is a member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
