OAK PARK, Mich., May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Golfers and their family and friends from Berkley, Huntington Woods and Oak Park will hit The Links of Novi on Monday, June 6th for the 13th annual Tri-Community Coalition (TCC) "Swinging for Scholarships and More" golf tournament. Event proceeds will go towards community-based, educational initiatives and $1,000 college scholarships that will be awarded to high school students from Berkley and Oak Park.
This year, the scramble/best ball tournament will kick off with registration at 9:00 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. There is a $10,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one. In addition, a box lunch and post-tournament dinner/award reception are included.
"The Links of Novi is a tremendous golf course and we have a fun outing planned. We're hoping for a big turnout of community leaders, business owners, families and friends." said Judy Rubin, Executive Director, Tri-Community Coalition.
The fee is $125 for an individual golfer and $500 for a foursome.Interested players and foursomes of men, women and co-ed teams are invited to join their family, friends and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun, festivities and fundraising for a great cause. If you cannot join us, please consider donating the fee and we'll invite military personnel who will/have been deployed. Non-golfers are invited to attend the dinner/award reception for $30 per person.
