WEST JORDAN, Utah, May 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth time, The Dannon Company, Inc. was a sponsor of the West Jordan Health and Preparedness Expo. Dannon volunteers handed out thousands of samples of popular Dannon brands like Danimals® and Danonino® that are manufactured in the company's West Jordan, Utah plant.
Since the opening of the plant in 2000, Dannon has been committed to helping improve the overall well being of its employees and the citizens of West Jordan. In addition to sponsoring the Expo, Dannon awards an annual $30,000 grant, the Dannon Next Generation Nutrition® Grant, to local organizations that operate programs designed to nurture healthy eating habits and physical activity among children in Salt Lake County, Utah.
