VENICE, Calif., May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Joshua Tree National Park celebrates its 75th Anniversary as part of the national park system this year. First established as a national monument by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1936, the Park has selected R&W Creative Group as its Creative Agency and partner in developing a 75th Anniversary Campaign.
Joshua Tree National Park has a vibrant cultural history and reputation as a spiritual refuge from the concerns of urban life. To honor that tradition, the Wander in Wonder - 75 Years of Inspiration campaign is designed to highlight the natural beauty of the Park and the inspiration it provides its visitors.
Working with the Park's non-profit partner, the Joshua Tree National Park Association, R&W Creative Group has developed for the Park a campaign that includes a new brand identity, out of home billboards, an online photography contest, print advertising, a concert series, a limited edition guitar collaboration with Fender Guitars, and 75th Anniversary merchandise available in park visitor centers.
This broad-based, multiplatform anniversary program has increased awareness of the Park and supported fundraising efforts. "The public response to the anniversary campaign has exceeded our expectations," said park spokesman, Joseph W. Zarki. "People have embraced this opportunity to celebrate the Park's place in their hearts, memories and imaginations."
