Dr. Bindra brings ten years of executive and clinical experience as a medical and information officer to CVHP. He has been with CVHP for nearly two years where he established CVHP's first electrophysiology program and served as the program's medical director.

His experience includes helping to establish a hospitalist program at Massachusetts General Hospital, consulting at McKinsey & Company to assist in redesigning a competitive strategy for a Fortune 500 company, serving as CEO of an investment firm that has achieved competitive returns and, most recently, co-chairing Methodist Hospital's (MHSC) Utilization Management and Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) committees.

Dr. Bindra is a collaborative team player and has led several initiatives to reduce clinical variability, improve quality outcomes and institute system changes to enhance patient safety and improve satisfaction for physicians and patients.

"We are very pleased that Dr. Bindra has decided to join CVHP," said Robert H. Curry, President & CEO of CVHP. "The CMO/CMIO role has become even more complex with the integration and management of clinical systems. Dr. Bindra certainly has the experience and the education to meet these challenges, but even more importantly, he is absolutely committed to working collaboratively to provide our patients with safe, quality care."

Dr. Bindra received his bachelor's degree from Harvard College and his MD from Harvard Medical School. He attended the University of Oxford on a Fulbright Scholarship studying public health. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital and a clinical fellowship in cardiology and electrophysiology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. During his fellowship training, Dr. Bindra also received his MBA in both finance and health care management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Diplomate in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, Electrophysiology and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Bindra said, "As CMO/CMIO, I am committed to working collaboratively with my colleagues to achieve common goals and to elevate CVHP's reputation for clinical excellence while increasing physician alignment, communication and technology adoption. This is a challenging time in healthcare, but we have the talent, energies and skills to improve our performance levels and become a national model for exceptional, quality care."

He and his wife, Meetanjali, have two children Kabir, 5 and Simren, 2.
