TORONTO, June 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Tennis superstar Li Na beat the 2010 French Open champion Francesca Schiavone to capture the 2011 French Open title in straight sets, 6-4 and 7-6, on the clay courts at Roland Garros.
On her way to the title, Li Na knocked off former # 1 world-ranked Maria Sharapova in straight sets in the semifinals to advance to her second consecutive major final.

Li Na is the first Chinese tennis player in history to win a major Open title.
