"Sergeant Debt" Debuts as YouTube Financial Educational Taskmaster for Debt-Stressed Consumers

ORLANDO, Fla., June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In what can only be called one of the most unique ways to educate and assist consumers struggling with debt problems, InCharge Debt Solutions ("InCharge") has unveiled Sergeant Debt, who stars in the first in a series of YouTube financial literacy videos released this week. Stone Gomez, who stars in the InCharge YouTube series, is a real-life drill sergeant with the Army Reserve. He trains new Army recruits from his Central Florida base while also working as a client services specialist for the nonprofit organization. Stone has twice been deployed to Iraq and delivers a powerful message to Americans with debt problems as he barks out instructions, Army-style, about the importance of financial discipline in dealing with this national epidemic.

"We're very excited about our Sergeant Debt series and the potential these videos have to help American consumers struggling with debt problems," said Etta Money, president of InCharge Debt Solutions. "By using today's technology, and a commanding personality like Sergeant Debt, we believe that we can reach a broad spectrum of Americans who need help solving their debt problems."

InCharge Debt Solutions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides free credit counseling, bankruptcy and housing counseling services to consumers and servicemembers in need of financial literacy education, money management guidance, and help finding the right debt solution for their specific situation. The Sergeant Debt video series can be viewed on YouTube or InCharge's MilitaryMoney.com, a website devoted to helping servicemembers with debt issues through financial literacy education and online resources.
