KALAMAZOO, Mich., June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Since its inception in 2008, The Greg Jennings Foundation for Underprivileged Children and Families focused on providing grants and partnering with other certified 501 (c) (3) organizations in Michigan and Wisconsin to provide self-help initiatives and programming.
Effective on July 1, 2011, the foundation will be operating as 'The Greg Jennings Foundation,' solely. The change allows the foundation to focus on youth in various communities and their education. The values concerning the foundation, center on empowering youth for improved educational awareness. The Greg Jennings Foundation's new goal and focus centers on helping to better prepare young people throughout various communities by helping to provide them with educational assistance.
Greg Jennings wife, Nicole is the President of the foundation and she explains, "Our faith requires this of us" regarding the work of the foundation and the help it continues to provide to communities. The motto of the foundation is, "To whom much is given, much is required," explaining the responsibility to the community the Greg Jennings Foundation continuously accepts.
According to the foundation's Administrative Director, Ebony Jennings, new core values will be implemented that will also become effective July 1st, 2011 including an emphasis on: excellence, educational achievement, leadership, advancement, and effectiveness.
Greg Jennings states the foundation's new vision and mission is, "Striving for a community where all educational needs for youth are met. We are aiming to partner with and assist other organizations in educating youth by providing the necessary resources in order for them to reach their academic potential."

Greg Jennings is a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers and founder of the Greg Jennings Foundation, established in 2008. Jennings was chosen for the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2006, and named a Pro Bowl receiver selection in 2010. He contributed two touchdowns to the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl XLV win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
