Background
The Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers is an inter-regional, bi-national, trans-border organization established in 1973 in recognition of the special bond that exists between the six New England states and the five Eastern Canadian provinces. Its members are the governors and the premiers of those provinces and states. The meetings are held alternately in New England and Eastern Canada. The last meeting was held in Lenox, Massachusetts in 2010.

The 35th NEG/ECP will focus on managing the fiscal reality, enhancing the trade relationship, maximizing the potential of each region's energy resources, confronting the environmental challenge, and includes a discussion between the Governors and Premiers and the Canadian and U.S. Ambassadors on Canada-U.S. relations.

Media Workroom
A Media Workroom will be located in the Lunenburg Room (Conference Level) and will be opened as follows:
Sunday, July 10: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Monday, July 11: 7:45 am - 6:00 pm
The Media Workroom will be equipped with telephones, a television monitor and high speed internet access. A fax and photocopier will also be available.
Parking for satellite trucks and broadcast vehicles is available by special arrangement with the Media Coordinators.
A media briefing will take place at 8:30 am in the Lunenburg room on Monday, July 11.
