HOUSTON, July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CARBO Ceramics Inc. (NYSE: CRR), announced today that its Board of Directors has approved an increase in the Company's quarterly dividend to 24 cents per common share, or 96 cents per common share on an annualized basis.
This represents an increase of 20% over the Company's previous quarterly dividend and marks the eleventh consecutive year the Company has increased its dividend to shareholders. The dividend is payable on August 15, 2011 to shareholders of record as of August 1, 2011.
In commenting on the 20% dividend increase, Gary Kolstad, Chief Executive Officer, said "Given our strong financial position and confidence in our long term cash flow outlook, I am pleased that the Company is able to increase the dividend paid to its shareholders."
