"With changing foreign markets and the availability of new mobile technology, it was time to redesign our online presence to better communicate NCED's message," said Gov. Brian Sandoval. "These new measures are a crucial part of our commitment to meeting the changing needs of companies looking to do business in Nevada."
Mobile devices are fast becoming the primary interface to the Internet. Analysts estimate that the mobile web will be bigger than desktop Internet use by 2015. NCED's mobile website allows users to access location specific content whenever, wherever via any Smartphone device.
By translating NCED's website into Simplified Chinese and International Spanish, the commission will effectively communicate Nevada's value to Chinese and Latin American businesses. The newly advanced economic markets of China and Latin America are causing a dynamic shift in consumers and products sold. China, the world's second largest economy, is Nevada's largest export trade partners and represented $599 million in export sales in 2010. Meanwhile, the fast growing Spanish speaking Latin American export markets for Nevada include Mexico, Colombia, Chileand Argentina all with 2010 growth rates between 35 and 65%.
