"America's Night of Hope" is the annual large stadium event for Joel Osteen Ministries; an event which draws people from across the nation for an evening of celebration and hope. This will be the 4th annual event with prior events being held in Yankee Stadium in New York City, Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, and U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox.
At a time when increasing numbers of people are looking for answers and direction in an uncertain world, Joel Osteen has a message of hope that is reverberating throughout communities across the nation and around the world. Joel's appeal is universal, allowing him to crossover to audiences that are diverse racially, politically, and socioeconomically.
"We are pleased to welcome Pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen and America's Night of Hope to the District of Columbia next April," said D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray. "I'm thankful that they chose Washington over other options to host this major event, and I pray not only that many will find hope and unity in the message they hear there, but that visitors will also experience the many joys of springtime in our nation's beautiful capital city."
"Victoria and I love Washingtonians," said Pastor Joel Osteen. "We're excited to bring our signature event here, a night that I believe will uplift people and fill them with an expectation that their best days are still out in front of them."
"Spring in Washington, D.C. is a spirited time and perfect backdrop for 'A Night of Hope.' Next year, visitors can experience the Cherry Blossom Festival, as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of the donation of the trees and the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial on the National Mall," says Elliott Ferguson, President and CEO of Destination DC, the city's official tourism and marketing arm. "We look forward to welcoming the tens of thousands of people who will be inspired by Joel Osteen and hope they will enjoy visiting the nation's capital."
Tens of thousands fill arenas and stadiums across America and millions more tune in from around the world to hear Pastor Osteen, who is a voice of hope for a new generation. In 2009, just nine days after the season opener, Joel and Victoria held the first non-baseball event at the new Yankee Stadium with nearly 45,000 attendees. Since then, tens of thousands have filled Dodger Stadium and U.S. Cellular Field.
2012 promises to be even bigger and better when Joel and Victoria bring their distinctive, uplifting message to the state-of-the-art Washington Nationals Park for an historic and memorable night. "America's Night of Hope" is an exciting time of praise and worship where thousands of lives are changed and hope is restored. For more information, go to www.joelosteen.com.
