SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Business & Decision announced today that Principal Consultant, Alan Faulkner, has been accepted into the elite Microsoft SSAS Maestro Program. Faulkner reports to Jayson Stangel, Solutions Director for North America, who said, "Alan's acceptance into the SSAS Maestro Program serves as an example of Business & Decision's ongoing commitment to providing its customers with best-in-industry Business Intelligence expertise."
The Microsoft SSAS Maestro Program is an intensive technical education course prepared and presented by top business intelligence experts and the SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) team at Microsoft. The course was designed to address the increasing need for the expertise to architect, deliver and maintain highly complex and scalable OLAP solutions using Analysis Services 2008 R2. Stringent admission and completion requirements ensure that only the top SSAS professionals will become SSAS Maestros; upon conclusion of the 2011 program, there will likely be fewer than 100 SSAS Maestros in the United States. After completing the first requirement of the program, an intensive, five day training at the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, WA, Faulkner said "I was very impressed by how knowledgeable the attendees were. During the classes there were a lot of great questions and discussions. It was very nice to see a group of people so passionate about SSAS."
