Hand-held literacy support tools designed effectively to boost vocabulary, phonemic awareness, fluency and comprehension for students with Dyslexia

(Prime Standard: WZM, IL 0010830706), the global leader in personal, portable, and powerful text scanning dictionaries, translators and Reading Pens, announced today that the Children's Dyslexia Center of Western Pennsylvania has chosen Wizcom's literacy support tools as their new support technology for 2012. The ReadingPen 2 and Quicktionary TS Premium hand-held devices will be used by children of all ages, including students transitioning to post-secondary education.

By scanning text, students can see and hear words, lines or paragraphs spoken aloud in English, and are instantly provided with word definitions, synonyms, translations, spelling, and pronunciation via Text-to-Speech technology (with built-in speaker or earphones) to help make reading accessible. The breakthrough literacy support tools can be used with any classroom text, or with content-area courses, providing special needs students with support to help them unlock the reading process.
