Airing Monday, August 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the next episode of the wildly popular cooking competition features its first-ever VIP Charity Dinner, featuring two charities including American Humane Association, the nation's voice for the protection of children and animals. Since 1877, the organization has championed the American values of caring, compassion and hope through groundbreaking programs and initiatives that include:

  • Reforming the child welfare system to make it more child- and family-centered.
  • Protecting animal actors through the "No Animals Were Harmed"® end credit certification program for films and TV shows.
  • Promoting the healing power of the human-animal bond through rigorous scientific analysis and development of best practices for animal-assisted therapy programs.
  • Rescuing pets and other animals stranded in natural disasters and manmade catastrophes through its Red Star' Animal Emergency Services unit.

"This was a truly special event for our organization; we're so grateful that an ever-growing number of luminaries and leaders from across American culture are recognizing the critical importance of the work we do on behalf of society's most vulnerable," said American Humane Association President & CEO Robin Ganzert. "The food was great - and made all the more tasty because it helped highlight a truly great cause."

Ganzert was joined at the event by two of her children, American Humane Association Board Chair Eric Bruner, and a host of the charity's VIP supporters.
