Make It-Take It activities to take place on Saturday, September 10
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer in America, has planned a fun in-store project to help kids show grandmothers and grandfathers how much they are appreciated this Grandparents' Day.
Jo-Ann will host a free Make It-Take It on Saturday, September 10 from 11am to 1pm at all stores with classrooms. At this event, children will have the chance to craft take-home gifts for grandma and grandpa. Children will use colorful Perler® beads to create one-of-a-kind craft designs that store Team Members will iron into finished take-home gifts.
"Grandparents are a great source of love and support for so many families," said Courtney Talkington, education manager for Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores. "Having kids make handcrafted gifts will provide grandparents with a special keepsake to treasure for years. Plus, it shows grandparents just how important they are."
After the kids finish their project, the entire family can shop the store for more great gift ideas for grandma and grandpa. From fabrics and yarn to scrapbooking supplies and framed art, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the store to find items that grandparents will use and enjoy.
Grandparents' Day is Sunday, September 11. To find the nearest Jo-Ann store with a classroom, log onto Joann.com.
